The office of the Dean Students Welfare (DSW) is committed to fosteringa supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the overall well-being and holistic development of our student community. We strive to ensure that every student at SKUAST-K has access to resources, opportunities & guidance necessary to achieve academic success and personal growth. The DSW improves overall personality of the students by conducting student oriented programs.
Our responsibilities encompass a wide spectrum, of student related services, including health and wellness, accommodation, scholarships, extracurricular activities & grievance redressal.
Through health & counselling services to cultural, recreational and leadership programs, we aim to create an environment where students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. DSW is always taking sincere efforts for the all-round development of students.Our office is dedicated to ensuring that every student feels safe and supported.
Students are supported by the Dean Students Welfare by disbursing merit scholarships and scholarships for poor. For this purpose an Endowment Fund has been created in which all the employees of SKUAST-K are contributing. Alumni Philanthropy is being promoted for contributions in this fund so that students can be sponsored to foreign/industry visits, sourcing funding by Alumni & industry for joint research & start-up etc.
Career Counselling and Placement Centre (CCPC) has been established for guiding the students for further studies, competitive exams and their campus placement in various companies.
